How are dreams and Tarot connected?

From the course The Language of Dreams with Victoria Belue

This clip is from Lesson 1, The Dream You Never Forgot, one of 10 lessons in the course. Decoding the secret conversations of your subconscious.

About this video

In this clip from Lesson 1 of The Language of Dreams at Global Spiritual Studies, dream interpreter Victoria Belue tells how her two practices met. Called to begin reading Tarot thirty years ago, she came to understand that dreams and Tarot are two sides of the same coin, coming from the same source energy.

She draws on Carl Jung's idea that what stays unconscious is lived out as fate. In a dream, she says, the unconscious and subconscious mind is handing us images. When we decipher them, we come to understand what they are saying to us, and then we can take action in our waking lives.

Victoria has studied dreams for thirty years. The course builds to Lesson 9, The Dream-Tarot Bridge, where she shows how to bring a Tarot deck alongside a dream once the dream has said all it can on its own.

And so, along with the Tarot, which I was also called to begin reading 30 years ago, I began understanding that dreams and Tarot were two sides of the same coin. They come from the same source energy.

And it’s like Carl Jung has said, until you make the unconscious conscious, conscious, you will call it fate and it will control your life.

And that is exactly what is going on when we dream, is that our unconscious, subconscious mind is giving us images that we, when decipher, when we decipher them, we come to understand what they are saying to us. And then we can take action in our waking lives.
