Why do dreams repeat?

From the course The Language of Dreams with Victoria Belue

This clip is from Lesson 7, Why Dreams Repeat, one of 10 lessons in the course. Decoding the secret conversations of your subconscious.

About this video

In this clip from Lesson 7 of The Language of Dreams at Global Spiritual Studies, dream interpreter Victoria Belue explains why we have recurring dreams. In her words, a recurring dream is your dreaming mind recognising that you still have not gotten the message it wants you to understand, and it is going to keep sending it.

She describes it as the dreaming mind standing up and saying pay attention, pay attention, pay attention: something important needs to be addressed. Her ask is modest. Hopefully you resolve the issue, but at the very least, acknowledge it.

Victoria has studied dreams for thirty years. Lesson 7 goes on to the reasons recurring dreams happen, and her workbook includes a Recurring Dream Decoder for working with your own.

Let’s talk about recurring dreams. We’ve all had them, but do you know why we have them? A recurring dream is your dreaming mind recognizing that you still have not gotten the message that it wants you to understand, and it is going to keep sending that message until you do understand it, until you acknowledge it and hopefully resolve the issue, but at least acknowledge it.

When we have recurring dreams, it is our dreaming mind essentially screaming at us, or you standing up and going, pay attention, pay attention, pay attention. It’s something important that needs to be addressed. And that will keep happening until you address it or, again, at least acknowledge it.
