About this video
In this clip from Lesson 8 of Creating Your Own Tarot Deck at Global Spiritual Studies, Tarot Grand Master Pamela Steele closes the course with the belief that has carried her through three published editions of the Steele Wizard Tarot. Asked years ago what her goal for the Tarot was, she answered without hesitation: to bring it out of the back room and into the mainstream, read daily with the same ease as a horoscope but tailored to the person drawing the card.
She then turns to the critics and naysayers every deck creator meets once the work is public. Her advice is not to grow thick skin but to smile, say thank you, I'll consider that, and keep believing. If believing in yourself comes hard, she says, believe in what you create.
Lesson 8 of the course covers distribution and Pamela's closing wisdom. The whole course walks you from the first vision of your deck through naming and sizing, art and AI, borders and companion book, digitising, printing, funding, publishing and distribution, with a directory of printers, publishers and distributors to keep beside you.

We are each unique individuals who share a language both in speech and in the language of the soul. And many years ago, I was asked what my goal was regarding the Tarot. And without hesitation, I told him I wanted to bring Tarot out of the back room and into the mainstream.
I choose to see people consulting their daily cards with the same enthusiasm they read their daily horoscope, but with one exception. The card you draw daily is tailored to you. It’s not general. It’s your inner divinity giving you a message that you need to help guide you to wholeness.
Now, there will be critics and naysayers, and the best response you can have is to smile and say, thank you, I’ll consider that. You don’t need to grow thick skin. You just need to believe. And if you have trouble believing in yourself, believe in what you create.
