About this video
In this clip from Class 4 of Living the Tree of Life · The Ten Sephirot at Global Spiritual Studies, Evelynne Joffe, Director of the Institute of Esoteric Studies in Melbourne, introduces Hod, translated as reverberation or glory: the Sephirah of the mind, on the Tree of Life above Yesod.
Evelynne describes Hod as the glory of the illuminated, light-filled mind, the part of the intellect that learns and communicates. Every Sephirah has an esoteric or secret title except Hod, because Hod deals with facts, not abstracts: Hod is what you see. Its virtue is truthfulness, and when Hod is well balanced in the personality we reach the point where we can no longer tell a lie, and can see where other people are lying to us. Both, she admits, can be difficult.
The full course climbs the Tree Sephirah by Sephirah across eight recorded classes with two recorded Q&A sessions, study guides for every class, and a private course forum. Later in Class 4 Evelynne turns to Netzach, Hod's partner across the Tree, and Class 5 continues upward to Tiferet.

The translation of Hod is given as reverberation or glory. It is the glory of the illuminated or light-filled mind and it is the reverberation as the part of the intellect that learns and communicates.
Every Sephirah has an esoteric title or a secret title except for Hod because Hod doesn’t deal with abstracts, it deals with facts and it has no esoteric titles. Hod is what you see.
The virtue of Hod is truthfulness. When you work with your Hod, when we start dealing with understanding facts and our Hod in our personality is well balanced, we find the capacity of seeing the truth because facts are always truthful, are they not?
So when your Hod is working correctly or working well, we get to the point where we actually can’t tell a lie. This can be difficult, it can be extremely difficult in fact. The other thing is that we also get to the point where we can see where other people are lying to us. That can be difficult too.
