Yesod, the “treasure house of images,” is where the unconscious keeps what we cannot yet face · the iron box in the locked basement. You learn to keep a dream journal (and why to avoid dream dictionaries), to recognise the moon’s two faces in yourself, and, paraphrasing Jung, to stay in your darkness long enough to find the wealth buried there.

Tiferet, the beautiful self, is the most seductive point on the Tree · and, as Evelynne insists, “only halfway up.” You learn the teaching of the brick wall: how ego thickens into a barrier that blocks the connection to something greater, and how to tell when the universe is giving you a gentle “kick in the bum” to move on.

The Climb · Eight Classes, Malkuth to Kether
We begin at the origins of the Tree and end in the Garden of Eden at its crown.
Class 1 · Origins and the Whole Tree
Where Kabbalah comes from and what it actually is. The word itself means “to receive and to reveal”; the tradition is an oral one, and Evelynne clears away the old superstition that only married Jewish men over forty may study it. You meet the primary texts · the Bahir, the Zohar, and the Sefer Yetzirah this course is built on · and trace the lineage that carried the teaching from Spain to the Golden Dawn and into modern Tarot. Then the map itself: all ten Sephirot introduced, the hidden eleventh, the three pillars, and the lightning flash of manifestation (Evelynne bakes a chocolate cake through all ten spheres to show how nothing manifests if a step is skipped). Your first homework: learn to draw the Tree, and practise thinking before you speak, because in Kabbalah words create realities.
Class 2 · Malkuth · The Kingdom
The tenth Sephirah, at the very bottom of the Tree and beneath your feet · the physical body, the five senses, and the world you touch. Its four earthy colours, its correspondences (comfort food, work boots, builders and gardeners), and its Tarot Tens. You learn the crucial distinction between pure sensation (Malkuth) and the memory it triggers (Yesod) · smelling Dettol versus remembering the hospital. And the tradition’s deep practicality: “You always take care of the here and now before you go and talk to God.” The Tree must be firmly anchored in the ground before you climb. Homework: watch for people living in extreme Malkuth, too much or too little.
Class 3 · Yesod · The Foundation
The ninth Sephirah, the lower unconscious · the moon with its two faces, the treasure house of images, the foundation of personality laid down by everything that has happened to you. Here Evelynne opens the iron box: the suppressed experiences we chain up and bury, and the basement door that begins to rattle as we wake up. This is the class on dreams · why they matter, how to journal them, why to throw away the dream dictionary · and on the artists who lived here (Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Dali). You learn the virtue of independence and the vice of addiction, “because people cannot face the truth,” and how to ground an overactive Yesod back into Malkuth.
Class 4 · Hod and Netzach · Mind and Heart
The two spheres of the personality’s thinking and feeling, taught together because they are a pair. Hod (the eighth) is the intellect, Mercury, orange, “the glory of the illuminated mind” · and, Evelynne argues, badly over-emphasised in Western education. Netzach (the seventh) is emotion, creativity, and beauty, Venus, emerald green. You meet them at their best and worst · the dry professor no one can learn from, the couple where she screams and he walks out · and you draw your first pie chart, dividing a real situation in your life into its portions of Malkuth, Yesod, Hod, and Netzach to see where you are out of balance. “Intellect without emotion,” she warns, “is a very frightening thing.”
Class 5 · Tiferet · Beauty and the Self
The sixth Sephirah, the centre of the Tree, over the heart · the Self, the first glimpse of the divine face, and the most seductive point on the whole map. This is the class of the brick wall: how ego builds a barrier that blocks the “hosepipe” connection to what lies above, so that a teacher, a CEO, a Pope, anyone in a position of power, begins to believe the power comes from them rather than through them. You learn the danger of the dirty five-letter word (power), the meaning of the Pontifex as a bridge, and the great correction: “Tiferet is only halfway up the tree.” And you learn to read the universe’s “kicks in the bum” · the signals, gentle then less gentle, that it is time to move on.
Class 6 · Gevurah and Chesed · Severity and Mercy
The Moral Triangle · the spheres where a person grows their own ethics through spiritual evolution, nothing to do with morals imposed from outside. Gevurah (the fifth) is Severity, Mars, red · assessment and adjustment with no emotion, the Hall of Justice where the soul stands stripped of every excuse. Chesed (the fourth) is Mercy, Jupiter, blue · compassion, giving, the sphere of the Masters and of the Lamed Vavniks, the thirty-six hidden righteous ones who sustain the world without ever knowing they do. The key teaching: Gevurah must come before Chesed, because giving without discernment collapses into martyrdom. Evelynne tells of the doctor saintly with patients and cruel at home · the pendulum that never settles.
Class 7 · Da'at · Inner Knowing and the Abyss
The hidden, unnumbered Sephirah on the throat · not knowledge from books but inner knowing, born of experience and faith. Here the Tree is split by the Abyss, the endless hole where ideas without enough grounding fall, crossed only on the Sword Bridge when you are perfectly balanced between the pillars. This is the class of the Indiana Jones step of faith · the invisible bridge that forms only when you step off the cliff · of the Exodus read as leaving Malkuth, and of the companions who appear on any genuine seeker’s road (a book, a person, a course heard of at just the right moment). “To know is not to know; not to know is to know,” runs the paradox, and Evelynne, characteristically, refuses to explain it. You work it out yourself.
Class 8 · The Supernal Triangle · Binah, Chokmah, Kether
The top three spheres · the Garden of Eden, where humanity was first created, naked before the divine. Binah (the third) is Understanding, Saturn, black · the Great Sea, the dual mother who binds force into form, and the virtue of silence: “By the time we get to Binah, we know when to keep our mouths shut.” Chokmah (the second) is Wisdom, absolute force, the Tetragrammaton · Niagara Falls scaled all the way down to a kitchen tap. And Kether (the first), the Crown, the first swirling, “I Am That I Am,” a brilliance no one can look upon. Evelynne closes by walking through how she builds a single Kabbalah lesson through all ten Sephirot · the whole climb, in miniature · and returns you, changed, to the ground. “God created the world so that God could behold God.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any background in Kabbalah to take this course?
None at all. Evelynne built these classes specifically so a complete beginner could follow them. She opens by teaching you to draw the Tree, then walks you Sephirah by Sephirah, grounding every abstract idea in everyday examples · food, films, family dynamics, people you already recognise. Students who have never opened a Kabbalah book find themselves steady by Class 2, and students with decades of study still discover new layers. If anything trips you up, the cohort forum and the two live Q&As are right there to ask.
Is this religious? Do I need to be Jewish?
No. Evelynne teaches Kabbalah explicitly as personal development and self-realisation, not as a religious system · in her words, “not a religion but a way of personal development.” She draws on Hebrew sources because they are the original sources, but the framework sits comfortably alongside Christian, Buddhist, pagan, agnostic, and secular life. The Tree is a map of consciousness, and whose consciousness it maps is yours. Students of every background, and none, take this course.
Do I need to know Hebrew?
No. Evelynne translates and explains every Hebrew term as it arises · the names of the Sephirot, the Tetragrammaton, the key words from the Sefer Yetzirah · and provides handouts you can keep. You will finish knowing a handful of important words genuinely, from the inside, rather than needing to arrive already fluent.
Do I need Tarot experience?
Not in the slightest · the course stands entirely on its own. But if you do read Tarot, you are in for a quiet delight. Evelynne shows how the Minor Arcana map onto the Tree · the Tens on Malkuth, the Nines on Yesod, the Aces on Kether · and previews how the Major Arcana travel the paths in Part 2. Many students arrive for the Tarot connection and stay for everything else.
How does the weekly release work?
This is a live cohort, so the eight classes are released one a week from September, and the whole group moves up the Tree at the same pace · Malkuth in week one, the Supernal Triangle in week eight. Releasing them weekly gives you time to sit with each Sephirah, do the exercises Evelynne sets, and bring what surfaces to the forum before the next class arrives. Once a class is released it stays in your library, so you can watch on your own schedule within the week and rewatch as often as you like.
When are the two live Q&A sessions?
The two live Q&As with Evelynne are held during the eight-week cohort, and the exact dates are announced soon · Evelynne schedules them around Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. As soon as the dates are set, everyone enrolled is notified well in advance so you can plan to join.
What if I miss a live Q&A?
Nothing is lost. Both live Q&A sessions are recorded in full and added to your course library, so if you cannot make it live · a different time zone, a busy evening, a clash you cannot move · you receive the complete replay and can watch at your leisure. The live sessions are a gift if you can attend, not a penalty if you cannot.
Are the live Q&A sessions recorded?

Part 2: The Paths covers the twenty-two paths that connect them, climbing from Path 32 to Path 11, with each path mapped to its Hebrew letter, its Yetziratic text, and its Major Arcana Tarot card. Part 1 is complete and satisfying on its own · you need nothing else to read your life on the Tree · but for those who want to keep climbing, Part 2 is the natural next step, and cohort graduates hear about it first.
