About this video
In this clip from Class 19 of Living the Tree of Life · Part 2: The Paths at Global Spiritual Studies, Evelynne Joffe, Director of the Institute of Esoteric Studies in Melbourne, teaches Path 12, from Binah to Kether. She opens with the words she hears God saying: thou shalt build me a temple and I will dwell in you.
Evelynne names the Path's Hebrew letter, Bet, which means house, and its Tarot card, The Magician. At the top of the Tree, this path connects the supernal mother to the crown, and she calls it the path of the realization of your abilities. The letter means a house, a dwelling place or a sanctuary: open on one side, from which everything flows, with a very solid base and the other side closed. In Kabbalah we are told, your house must be open wide, and it is a reminder that whatever we receive, any blessing, any teaching, the one side must stay open so that we can give some of it away. We always receive in order to impart. On this path we become aware that we have the power to make something happen, and begin to see, she teaches, that we are capable of becoming anything we desire.
The full course climbs all twenty-two Paths across twenty recorded classes, from Path 32 to Path 11, with each Path's Hebrew letter, its text from the Sefer Yetzirah, its Tarot card and its myths, and two live Q&As with Evelynne for the 2026 Cohort. Class 18 taught Path 13, Gimel and The High Priestess; Class 19 continues to Path 11, Aleph and The Fool.

Thou shalt build me a temple and I will dwell in you. That’s what God is saying.
Now, Path number 12 goes from Binah to Kether. The key is the letter Beit, spelled B-E-T-H, which means house. The Tarot card is the Magician.
This path at the top of the tree connects the supernal mother to the crown. And we call this path the path of the realization of your abilities.
So we have this letter that means a house or a dwelling place or a sanctuary. It is open on the one side that everything else flows out of. And it has a very solid base, and the other side is closed. And we are taught in Kabbalah, we are told the words, your house must be open wide.
And it is also a reminder, very big teaching in Kabbalah, that if you receive anything, any blessing, any teaching, the one side must be open so that you can give some of it away. We always receive in order to impart.
We become aware that we have the power to make something happen. It doesn’t mean we’re going to do it. We start beginning to see that we are capable of becoming anything we desire.
