There’s a card layout for every conceivable situation – from finding your way through relationship issues to managing your finances or just wanting a snapshot of where your life is heading. So when do you use one of these layouts, when do you abandon structure and when do you invent your own layouts?

Join Linda Marson as she plays around with the pros and cons of using fixed tarot card layouts vs free-wheeling or dealing the cards to explore issues with clients. One of the first people to register for the live class, Merissa Lovett, took the opportunity to show how she would do a Tarot reading for an extremely harassed Mum. Linda’s discussion with Merissa raises many of the key issues Tarot readers need to consider when dealing with clients who ask the Tarot to help influence a person’s behaviour.

Julie’s daughter Tina has been granted a place at a prestigious university. Julie is delighted at this news and is horrified when Tina says “I’m sick of study! Don’s father is a film producer and he’s offered me a job as runner on his next film shoot. That’s what I’m going to do and nothing will change my mind!” she declares.

Julie does want to change her daughter’s mind and has come to the tarot for advice on how to do just that.  You, as tarot reader, diplomatically shift the focus of the question to ‘How can I resolve this conflict situation with my daughter?”

About the presenter

Linda Marson is a professional Tarot reader, teacher and former President of the Tarot Guild of Australia. ‘I love showing people how to harness the power of the Tarot to find the best way through situations they’re facing,’ says Linda.

‘In 2006 I published a book, Ticket, Passport and Tarot Cards in which I used stories of my travels around the world to explain the meaning of the 22 trump cards in the deck, The book was quickly followed by a TV series which won an award for the best spiritual or personal development program on Australian community television. From the response to both book and TV series, I know that my approach to showing people how to use the Tarot in a practical way, works.
