Is our house going to sell? What’s the future of my relationship with Joe? These are the sorts of questions people ask of tarot readers and psychics. But can astrology be used to answer such specific questions? The answer is ‘yes’ with what’s called horary or predictive astrology. ‘Horary’ comes from ‘hora’, the Latin word for hour. Predictive astrologers produce a chart for the time at which they address the question being asked and answer the question by interpreting that chart.
In this class Peter Burns is the predictive astrologer and Linda Marson is the Tarot reader. Using their respective modalities, they answer questions submitted in advance. About the presenters
Peter Burns has been practising astrology and palmistry since 1984 and teaching and lecturing since the late 1980s. He is trained in both modern and traditional astrology, including: a Diploma of Astrology (FAA), and has been awarded a Horary Craftsman Certificate by John Frawley.
Peter was Vice-President of the Federation of Australian Astrologers from 2006-2009, President of the Victorian Astrologers Association from 2006-2008 and has been national editor of the quarterly Journal of the FAA since 2000.
Linda Marson is a professional Tarot reader, teacher and former President of the Tarot Guild of Australia. ‘I love showing people how to harness the power of the Tarot to find the best way through situations they’re facing,’ says Linda.
‘In 2006 I published a book, Ticket, Passport and Tarot Cards in which I used stories of my travels around the world to explain the meaning of the 22 trump cards in the deck, The book was quickly followed by a TV series which won an award for the best spiritual or personal development program on Australian community television. From the response to both book and TV series, I know that my approach to showing people how to use the Tarot in a practical way, works.
