Divine Names, Archangels & Angelic Orders of the 10 Sephirot
The ten Sephirot are read in order of emanation, from Kether at the crown of the Tree down to Malkuth at its root. Each row below gives the Sephirah (linked to its full guide), the divine name of God associated with that sphere, its ruling archangel with the traditional meaning of the angel's name, and the order of angels that serves it. Hebrew is given unpointed, following manuscript convention.

* Raphael or Michael? This is a genuine, unresolved variation in the tradition. Liber 777 and the Golden Dawn Assiah tables give Raphael to Tiferet and Michael to Hod, the reading followed here. Dion Fortune and many popular sources reverse them · Michael to Tiferet (the Sun) and Raphael to Hod (Mercury). Both readings are in wide circulation; choose the one your teacher or lineage uses and stay consistent.
† Netzach's order. The primary attribution is Elohim ("Gods"), following Fortune and 777. Some Golden Dawn lists instead give Tarshishim (תרשישים, "the Brilliant Ones") to Netzach.
‡ Sandalphon or Metatron? Sandalphon is the standard archangel of Malkuth. Because Metatron and Sandalphon are traditionally described as twin brothers, some sources double Metatron at both Kether (1) and Malkuth (10), placing him here as well.
The divine names are the standard consonantal forms of the Regardie and Fortune tradition; the archangel name-meanings are traditional Hebrew and Greek etymologies rather than fixed translations, and several (notably Metatron and Sandalphon) remain scholarly debated. Where a reading is contested, this chart gives the Golden Dawn / 777 primary with the variant noted · honesty about the sources is part of the reference.

The Three Tiers of Each Sephirah
Every sphere on the Tree is named on three levels, one for each of the upper worlds of the Kabbalah. Reading the chart is easier once you see what each column is describing.
The Divine Name · the Godhead of the sphere
The divine name belongs to Atziluth, the world of pure emanation. It is the Name of God through which that Sephirah is known · Eheieh, "I Am," at the crown; Adonai ha-Aretz, "Lord of the Earth," at the root. These are the names vibrated aloud in ritual and meditation to attune the practitioner to the quality of the sphere. Malkuth's godhead is also given as Adonai Melekh ("Lord and King") in some editions of 777; both are standard.
The Archangel · the governor of the sphere
The archangel belongs to Briah, the world of creation, and is the great intelligence who directs the sphere's forces. These are the familiar names of Western angelology · Michael, Gabriel, Raphael · together with the more specifically Kabbalistic Metatron, Tzaphkiel, and Sandalphon. In practice the archangel is the presence a practitioner calls upon, or contemplates, when working with that Sephirah.
The Angelic Order · the choir of the sphere
The angelic order or choir belongs to Yetzirah, the world of formation, and is the host of angels through whom the sphere's influence is carried down toward the material world. These are the great classes of angels · the Seraphim of Geburah, the Cherubim of Yesod, the Holy Living Creatures of Kether · known from Ezekiel's vision and the later Kabbalistic tradition.
How These Names Are Used
This chart is a study reference, not a set of instructions · but the names on it have a long devotional and meditative life. In the Hermetic Qabalah, a practitioner working with a single Sephirah will often gather its correspondences · colour, planet, incense, and these three Names · and hold them together as a way of attuning to the quality of that sphere. The divine name is vibrated or spoken; the archangel is visualised or invited as a presence; the angelic order is contemplated as the sphere's living activity.

The divine name of Tiferet, the sixth Sephirah at the heart of the Tree, is YHVH Eloah ve-Da'at (יהוה אלוה ודעת), often translated as "the Lord God of Knowledge" or "God made manifest in the sphere of Mind." Tiferet is the sphere of Beauty and harmony, and its ruling archangel in the Golden Dawn tradition is Raphael, with the angelic order of the Malakim, the "Kings."
Is Michael or Raphael the archangel of Tiferet?
Both attributions exist in the tradition, and this is one of the genuine unresolved variations in Hermetic Qabalah. Crowley's Liber 777 and the Golden Dawn Assiah tables give Raphael to Tiferet (the Sun) and Michael to Hod (Mercury) · the reading used in this chart.
